Fairplay Middle School

Fairplay Middle School Visual Art The Fairplay Visual Art program is designed to enrich our students with Art knowledge and skills. Students are in the program for 18 weeks as a connections class. Art Club is also available for students that excel in the area. This year, we will begin with digital learning. All grade levels will have access to the class through Google Classroom.

All grade levels will be based on 1/3 of the Art History timeline every year. This will allow students to experience exposure to art throughout time while attending FMS.  

Block 1 (2018 and 2021) Prehistoric art through Ancient Greece
Students will learn about artists and artworks during this time. They will create drawings, sculptures, and paintings based on what they have studied.

Block 2 (2019 and 2022) Greece through the Renaissance
Students will learn about artists and artworks during this time. They will create drawings, sculptures, and paintings based on what they have studied.

Block 3 (2020 and 2023) Renaissance art through Modern art
Students will learn about artists and artworks during this time. They will create drawings, sculptures, and paintings based on what they have studied.

Students will also take part in step by step drawing lessons to develop primary drawing skills.
