HOW WILL I BE GRADED?:
40% Tests and Quizzes
Essential Question Quizzes happen at the end of each EQ. Unit Tests happen at the end of each unit. Projects often count as a test grade depending on the unit and the project.
40% Classwork
Classwork includes assignments done in class; labs, station labs, group work, independent work, etc. I do not grade notes or study guides unless I find them to be necessary.
15% Homework
Your homework will be whatever you do not finish in class MOST days. I always collect homework after the bellringer on the day the assignment is due.
5% Participation
An average of your bellringers for the 9 weeks. Bellringers are collected at the end of each week. I check to see if your bellringer is completed. I sign off on your bellringer on the days you were absent. Failure to complete the bellringer fully on the days you were present will result in a reduced grade for your bellringer.

WHAT TO DO IF I WAS ABSENT?:
Check Google Classroom on the days you were absent for missing work.
Paper copies of work will be available in the "Absent Bin" once the student returns.
It is your responsibility to visit the “Absent Bin”, fill in your planner, and talk to me if needed, the following day you return from an absence no matter what the reason is.
You have ONE DAY from the date you return for every absent day to make up the work and turn it in.
For missed quizzes or tests, you are responsible to set up a time with me in detention to make it up WITHIN ONE WEEK, or your grade will be input as a zero.
