As a dedicated classroom instructor for a little over 20 years, I have witnessed education turn from a teacher centered environment to a place where students grow, have fun and struggle and even failure is looked at as an opportunity to learn, grow and persevere. This year, your child will do just that...learn, grow and persevere using many different modalities. This means they will be doing hands-on learning activities, worksheets, group discussions, independent practice and many other strategies to push their learning to the next level.
As a parent, you can help to support your child's learning by encouraging her/him to work hard, complete all assignments on time and take pride in all work.
