I am a in my 9th year of teaching at Fairplay Middle School. I graduated Magna Cum Laude from Hunter College, where I obtained my Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science. It was at Hunter College where I first fell in love with teaching. I worked as a college assistant with the Office for Students with Disabilities. It was there that I realized that through hard work and dedication one can achieve any goal. I am honored and humbled to know that I played a small role in helping these students achieve their goal. While at Hunter, I also served as a student leader and got a bill passed that allowed mothers on welfare to stay in college to fulfill their work requirements as opposed to doing menial tasks. As my interest in politics grew, I interned in the United States Senate, with the late Senator Daniel Moynihan from New York.

I returned to the field of education in 2008 when I graduated from the University of West Georgia with a degree in Mathematics and Education. I worked at Chapel Hill High School for 2 years, before graduating from Georgia State University with a Master’s Degree in Mathematics Education. A few notable achievements I’ve obtained as a teacher include: graduating Kappa Delta Pi- Georgia State University 2011, Leader in Instructional Technology 2015 and Outstanding Commitment to Students 2014 and 2015.

I have a total of 8 years teaching experiences at the high school level. This is my second year as a middle school teacher. During my nine years of teaching, I have taught a wide range of students including gifted, regular education and special education students. I am very passionate about education, and I enjoy shaping young minds. I am committed to your child’s education, and I look forward to taking this educational journey with your children.
