Hello My Name Is...

Glenn Roark

I began my teaching career in Douglas County with a background in various educational style settings.  After several years as a Social Worker in a residential educational setting in West Virginia I moved to back to Georgia where I entered vocational youth work in a local church and worked as a paraprofessional in a North Georgia high school and worked as a resource teacher in a middle school in North Georgia.  I moved to Douglasville in 2001 to work with youth in this area and have been very active in several of our local schools as a volunteer both as mentor and First Priority Lead.  In 2007 was given the opportunity to re-enter the classroom and gladly accepted the opportunity.  I feel that our students and their education are very important.  I enjoy being in the small group and co-taught classroom setting and seeing the students’ success. I believe very strongly in the building of relationships in order to see many successes in education.  I have such a strong passion for others that I have lead groups to work with others in other countries and across the US.  I enjoy teaching, time with friends and time with my family as well.  I am also very happy to speak with parents of the students that I teach.  Your child, and their success as a student, is very important to me.
